CMC Dinner Against Anti-LGBTQ+ Violence
The Big LGBTQ+ & Ally Dinner is back at Children’s Media Conference!
Join us for an evening of connection, networking and community as we bring together LGBTQ+ professionals and allies from across the children’s media industry.
We’re delighted to be co-hosting this year’s event with Cloth Cat Animation and King Banana TV.
This year’s dinner carries an even deeper meaning.
Recently, Jamie Badminton, a much-loved member of both the UK children’s production industry and the LGBTQ+ community, was the victim of a brutal homophobic attack in London. Jamie suffered serious physical injuries and, while thankfully now recovering, the attack serves as a stark reminder that hatred and violence against LGBTQ+ people remain a very real reality.
In support of Jamie and countless others affected by anti-LGBTQ+ abuse, this year’s dinner will raise funds for Galop, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ people who have experienced hate crime, domestic abuse, sexual violence and other forms of abuse. Through its national helpline, advocacy and specialist support services, Galop provides life-changing assistance to those who need it most.
Your £75 ticket includes:
– A welcome glass of bubbles
– A three-course dinner
–Â Wine, water, tea and coffee
– A charitable donation to Galop
